Kellen Haynes

Kellen grew up in a small town in upstate New York. He was a three sport athlete in high school and excelled at both baseball and football. Kellen was picked as a 1st team all-conference and all-north 2B/pitcher following his junior and senior years. He also received the opportunity to represent the NY Central Region in the Empire State Games following his junior year. As a football player, Kellen was an all-conference free safety/wide receiver. He was fortunate to have the opportunity to go through the recruiting process for both baseball and football. "It was a great experience and I had an absolute blast with it."
Kellen made the decision to play collegiate baseball and received an athletic scholarship to play at NCAA Division II UW-Parkside. He redshirted as a freshman, but dressed and traveled to help become familiar with the balancing act of playing a sport and keeping up with academics. During his redshirt freshman year, Kellen started 20 games between rightfield and centerfield. After two years at UW-Parkside he transferred and played on scholarship at NCAA Division I Chicago State University. He started in 49 games at second base as a redshirt sophomore.  In 2004, Kellen transferred to NCAA Division III UW-La Crosse and as a redshirt junior earned All-Conference honors as a 2nd baseman, starting 44 games and hitting a career high 6 HR's. He finished up his collegiate baseball career at UW-L in 2005 starting 39 games at second base. Kellen started in 83 of 86 games while at UW-L. In his four years of collegiate baseball, Kellen started in 152 baseball games and played in 164. In 2006 Kellen graduated from UW-Parkside with a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management.
Athletically, he has experienced more than the average student-athlete. Through all of his experiences of getting recruited in high school to playing ball at three different colleges, he has learned a large amount about NCAA rules & regulations and has become somewhat of an "expert" on the recruiting process. He has a passion for the game of baseball, but really appreciates all sports.
Kellen currently works in the Eau Claire area and volunteers as a coach for the Fall Creek High School baseball and football teams as well as being heavily involved in Fall Creek Youth Sports. He and his wife Jana (4 year standout basketball player at UW-Lacrosse) have three daughters, Addison, Kendyl and Hadley. Kellen and his family reside in Fall Creek but the majority of his extended family lives in the Pardeeville/Portage area.

Marvin Haynes

Marvin spent his youth in Evansville(Rock County), Verona(Dane County) and Pardeeville(Columbia County) graduating from Pardeeville High School in 1969. He was a three sport athlete excelling at Track. Marvin competed in the Wisconsin State Track Meet in 1969 running at 880 yards and in relay events.
Professionally, he joined the Army in 1974, became an Artillery Officer in 1975 and retired as a Captain in 1994. After three positions in which he was independently contracted to the Army, Marvin joined the newly created Transportation Security Administration under the Department of Homeland Security in 2002. Finally in May of 2009, after over 35 years of service to the United States, Marvin founded Eagles 12 Sports, LLC and in June of 2009 acquired the right to operate on behalf of College Prospects of America in Rock, Dane, Columbia, Green, Marquette and Sauk counties in Wisconsin.

In 2015, with a change of ownership/philosophy at CPOA, we wanted to stay exclusively focused on our brand of personal service and severed our relationship. After one year of non-competition required by contract we continued Eagles 12 Sports as an independent, concierge service.

Marvin’s exposure to the college recruiting process was through the experiences of his son, Kellen whom was recruited by nearly 100 colleges and universities including the University of South Carolina, the University of Miami and LSU. He held extensive discussions with representatives of the NCAA in 1999 and 2000 with regard to how he could aid high school student athletes navigate this process. This inquiry was cut short in 2001 when terrorists struck in New York City and Marvin reentered government service.

He loves sports at all levels especially baseball where he has enjoyed watching Kellen through 23 seasons. Marvin has coached several sports over the years up to and including semi-professional baseball teams and has helped in placing several of Kellen’s friends into college athletic programs. He enjoys the good feelings which he derives from helping deserving student athletes continue in their favorite sport while receiving as much financial aid as possible.
Marvin has a wife, Ji and four children currently living in Wisconsin, Georgia and Tokyo, Japan. He currently resides in Paddock  Lake but his extended family is centered around Pardeeville and Portage.
